The need to find an all natural eyebrow serum came about from one of my midnight feedings in the middle of the night. Totally makes sense, right?
One night around 1am, I half blindly stumbled upon an article on snapchat that talked about the perfect eyebrows. The perfect eyebrows? I immediately came to and quickly read the entire article.
I do have to confess that I am secretly obsessed with eyebrows and teeth. First things I look at when I meet someone. Crazy, I know.
Why an all natural eyebrow serum?
For years, I have tried to get those perfect eyebrows by plucking, tweezing, and waxing. I have failed miserably more times than not. I have researched articles, watched tutorials, ordered products from Anastasia Beverly Hills (Kim Kardashian’s go to lady). Consequently, I have put in more time on my eyebrows than one ever should.
It just seemed like everything I ended up coming across either had me use more makeup or take more time in the morning. I prefer a more natural look, AKA applying makeup in under 10 minutes.
So, as I was reading the article I soon realized this woman, who worked on the most famous brows in Hollywood, was in Chicago! WTF?! Yes! I did not care how much money this would cost me, I was going to see her. Therefore, a few short hours later I called and was able to miraculously get an appointment that week.
I was beyond excited!
During my appointment she recommended I use an eyebrow serum but suggested I wait until after I had finished breastfeeding. Well, I shut down right there as sirens were going off in my head. I immediately knew there were way too many chemicals in that serum. Plus, I can’t afford to pay for anything else on top of this damn appointment.
That night, again during a late night feeding, I googled ways to make my own all natural eyebrow serum. I need these suckers to grow in quick and cannot wait until next year!
I ended up finding this article. Boom! done!
How to make this all natural eyebrow serum
All you need are three ingredients! You can also use these oils for a multitude of other uses, not just this serum. Therefore, in my books, that is definitely worth the cost!
- Castor Oil
- Argan Oil
- Vitamin E Oil
- Mix all together in a 1:1:1 ratio. Apply with a Qtip to the area you would like to see more growth!
Why these oils?
Not really sure. Basically, Google said they were great so I went with it. Just kidding. Actually these oils are cold pressed and have a ton of nutrients, which in turn, help to promote hair growth.
Argan Oil – Argan oil is just plain amazing! I should do a whole post on this stuff. It is very rich in natural phenols that benefit the hair follicles and promotes new growth.
Castor Oil – Castor oil is rich in Omega 6, packed with a lot of vitamins and very high in ricinoleic acid. This helps to increase circulation at the scalp or skin and improve hair growth.
Vitamin E – Vitamin E helps to reduce inflammation and repair damage to the hair follicles. This will help to promote hair growth.
I went in for a follow-up appointment six weeks later and she asked if I was using the eyebrow serum she recommended. She commented how great they look and how they are really growing in. I politely reminded her that I was breastfeeding, so I did not have the chance to use her serum yet.
Inside, I was dying! I was so excited that my serum actually worked! Ha! Who knew! She noticed the growth and thought I was using her product when I actually was using my all natural eyebrow serum! Whoo Hoo! I can’t wait to see what she says again during my next follow-up appointment in a few weeks.
As a result, I really have noticed an amazing difference in the corrective brow shaping and eyebrow serum filling in my brows (believe me, I check it everyday). I think this serum is definitely worth the small investment and will only take a few moments of your time.
