So after a year and a half I am back at it, people! I only wrote two posts back in 2012, so not sure that “back at it” is the correct term to use. 🙂 But, after encouragement from some friends and family, I have decided to try to share some of my best, all natural and thrifty tips.
My passion is to make sure our kids and families are safe while saving money. Who doesn’t like that? My greatest dream is that one day we will be able to walk into the store to buy items that are not going to harm or hurt us. That we can do this without going broke or having to do crazy research on each product.
I don’t see this happening anytime soon, so, I think the best course of action is to get back to the basics. This involves making our own products – less is more – and taking a few more minutes to research exactly what we are using.
This blog will also keep me in line to make sure I am practicing what I preach. At times I like to take the shortcut, or slack a bit (I mean, who doesn’t?). By writing each of my posts I am ensuring that everything is as correct, truthful, and as honest as possible. If you know me, you know I don’t have a problem being honest 🙂
I am also a big proponent of not paying full price for anything. There are so many coupons, sales, apps, and DIY ways to save. I am a big believer in Google and Pinterest! I don’t know what I would do without them, or coffee.
So, thank you all for your support and inspiration. I am always open to comments, feedback, or suggestions. I think this blog will allow for some wonderful ways for us to constantly learn and educate each other on how to make our homes less toxic and save money!!!
