Remove these foods from your diet to start living longer…..

So, as many of you know our family has started on an awesome new way of eating. If you have not had the chance to read Better Health in 120 Days: Finding Answers with the WEE Protocol for a Genomic-Specific Nutritional Plan you must! It is a small book that will change the way you think of food and your health! 

We started the plan in December and feel great, look better, sleep better, and have saved money at the grocery store to boot! I will be posting some great tips from the book and the WEE Protocol itself. I will follow-up with a large post on breaking it down and how we did it in the next few months. So stay tuned. 

For now here are the Omega 6 Plant Oil Foods that we should remove from our diet or limit significantly. They can lead to omega-6 inflammation and cancers.

  • seeds
  • nuts
  • flax
  • soy
  • granola
  • trail mix
  • humus
  • farm fed fish and poultry
  • Plant & Cooking Oils
    • Nut and seed oils, canola, soybean, corn, cottonseed, safflower, sunflower, coconut oils
  • Shortening
  • Chips

It is not easy by any means and you have to start little by little, one by one. We need to balance our Omega 6 with our Omega 3. Increase your fish oil intake and lessen the Omega 6 in your diet. There is just way to much of that in our Western diet.

Nuts, seeds, flax, granola and trail mix can be expensive. Instead of humus make a bean dip. 

Buy wild fish and organic poultry

Use butter and make you own potato or tortilla chips with butter
